It was a hugely successful night for Guernsey Golf at the Sports Commissions Sporting Achievement Awards with golf receiving both individual and team awards.
The Guernsey junior golf team were awarded the Beau Sejour Trophy which recognises the outstanding performance of the year by a team under 18 years age. The team retained the inter insular in 2023 at L’Ancresse with the incredible score 13.5 - 1.5.
Conor McKenna was individually recognised with the Sir John Loveridge Trophy. This award has no age restriction and is given to the sportsperson with the greatest progress in the year. It is fantastic recognition for the lowest handicap player on the island.
The evening highlighted the depth of sporting talent on the island . Golf had further nominations for Jayden Tucknott, Veronica Bougourd, Phil Sykes, and the Island Games Men’s Golf team. It is a fantastic achievement for our sport to be involved in so many categories.
